Dog-friendly Gite

This delightful gite owned by Fiona and Grant Campbell is situated in a quiet, rural location near the village of Pouzy-Mesangy in the Allier district of Auvergne, central France. The property stands in its own large garden and orchard which are completely secure and separate from the owners' own house. Fiona and Grant have two German Shepherds and a Border Collie so understand the needs of dog owners.

Although the gite is in a secluded location there is a well-stocked supermarket within a 10-15 minute drive and right next door to this there is a modern veterinary practice where the U.K. Pet Passport requirements are fully understood. All the vets speak English.

The gite is essentially one-up, one down and sleeps two. The downstairs comprises of an open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen which has a wood-burning stove. The bathroom (downstairs) is equipped with bath and shower facility. The bedroom upstairs includes a lounge area opening on to a small, wooden balcony with panoramic views.

Our three Dobermanns thoroughly enjoyed their week's stay and are looking forward to going back in 2010.
